Huichol Art in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico by

This picture is made with colourful yarns glued on a wooden tray by the Mexican tribe of Huicholes, who are visiting Puerto Vallarta and selling their artcrafts here. They are living high up in the mountains, where they were hiding when the Spanish Conquerer came. They are very proud and still living in a very traditional way, speaking their own language and celebrating their old rituals and beliefings.
