I love this series that you are working on ! And you just make me miss London so much ! Had such a wonderful 3 weeks in the UK during December, I am still trying to convince my hart to follow my body back home. To crown it all I left youngest son (he is 25) behind. He will be spending two years in the UK which gives me a good reason for another visit some or other time during this year. At which Tube Station did you take this awesome photograph ?

  • pryere replied

Hi Sandra, thats nice to know, it’s not so bad here.
This station is called Angel, it’s on the northern line.
    Thanks again.

Whooo…such a sterile organised looking place!!! LOL..Excellent John…love your “real” made fell “unreal” images!!!

  • pryere replied

Hi Deb, that is an interesting observation. I sometimes forget how different, opposite even, that some of my work must appear to you, on the other side of the world.
I avoid travelling on the tube whenever I can, especially since the attack, much prefering to walk or the bus. It’s so noisy and cramped, with loud annoucments all the time and believe me, it’s far from sterile, lol.
Thanks once more Deb and please keep bringing us your images of paradise.

I forgot, a nutter skis down this, see above.

    Brilliant photography, John. Wonderfully composed.
Very well spotted. Poor woman, was she afraid of the escalator, or did you “persuade” her to choose the steps?

  • pryere replied

Thanks again Kofoed, great to see you back.
No persuasion, just a bit of luck. I was so busy trying to get it right, shutter 1/25 was still too slow…more in the exif above and there is now a related link.

Looking at the photograph John I can see and feel the escalators moving! I feel dizzy! I can’t travel on the underground, I understand how that lady feels! Wonderful photograph I also like how the posters appear! You have a wonderful eye…ok maybe two! Keep travelling!Sx

Thanks never been to that station. I know the UK very well, have traveld extensively, that is where my heart lives and my body is in SA. I try to go over at least once a year and my favourite thing to go and do is Narrowboating.
