    G’day Pryere,

Oh man what a fantastic urban street shot of modern urban ghosts!!!!!
Wonderful, glorious light and shadows and plenty, (but not too many), people to fill the frame.
Very well seen and shot from a great vantage point.
    Extremely good work that man!

John, you certainly seem to get the most out of the Tate Modern. This is an extremely brilliant photograph. What an excellent eye you have.
The lighting here is glorious, and the stark contrasts are most appropriate. I also like the diagonal shadows and the shiny reds in some of the haunted’s hair. Finally, I also like the title.

  • pryere replied

    Greetings Kofoed,
Firstly, the title refers to `haunting` a familiar place, with the hope of getting another good result.
It appears that it has worked out here. As you know, you were very kind to me on a similiar shot a long time ago. That comment inspired and encouraged me a great deal.
I now have a fairly new camera and `haunt` locations that were good to me with the old one.
My deepest thanks Kofoed, your comments and encouragement are highly valued.
    John.

    The Return of Dennis!!!:

Mate, the more I see this the more convinced I am that you have something of real value here – artistically as well as (hopefully) finaincially.
I wish you all the very best with this very fine photograph.

  • pryere replied

    G`day Dennis,
    Hang on a minute, a revisit….from Dennis….
I am honoured by your kind words mate.
    Many thanks, always appreciated.

  • Kofoed

    Kofoed

Aha, so that was what you meant. Now I like the title even more.
I’m also convinced that you’re on to something great here. Lokk at the mirror of the youngster and his shadow – cut by the division of the mirrors. Brilliant!
Whatever they hang on the walls in the Tate Modern can’t compete to at least this and the one I saw long ago on DPF. You’ve probably got more. Show these works to them, and they might use them or even hang them somewhere in the gallery.
    Good luck, John.

  • pryere replied

    I am on the case.
You are most kind. Thanks again Kofoed.

    Joyce Dickens,...

This has such an awesome feel to it John….......we are being watched, our every move, our every breath…but not just watched, coaxed and urged in different directions…..as your title says….this is haunting, hauntingly beautiful and very moving. I believe with all my heart, in collective inspiration John, and this one certainly adds to that so very much…....I could look at this photograph for hours and still be in deep thought and visualize a different place each time….. Remarkable work!!!!

  • pryere replied

That is one of the nicest comments I have ever had.
I find that the images that please me the most, have an element of luck, chance or good fortune.
That applies to this one aswell. Right place etc. There is something special about the Tate. I visit regulary and never fail to get a few keepers.
I am very pleased that this image has done well. It is one of my personal favourites.
    Thanks Joyce, very much appreciated.
