This shot was taken at sunset in Black Rock, Victoria Australia. I was really interested in creating a silky and misty water effect. To achieve this I used a timed exposure of 15 seconds. I was very keen to have the sun as part of the image and so I placed it within the frame using the rule of thirds. As the sun was becoming lower in the sky it began reflecting across the bay and onto the rocks in front of me. At this point the image really came alive and I quickly captured the shot before losing the light.
