I’m 27, British, and live just on the South edge of London at the moment; but for three years I lived in the rural north of Japan and had a lot of opportunities to take photos of some pretty fantastic scenery. There are a few shots in this set from London and other places in the UK/Europe as well.

I take a lot of photos but without much thought or skill – usually it’s a case of being surprised by one or two shots out of a whole day’s worth. Two things get me excited about a photo: colours and light (and to an extent I suppose angles as well). The photos in this set are my 100 favourite scenes, not necessarily the “best” (whatever that means!) photos I’ve ever taken but the ones I feel most affected by. The selection is probably heavily influenced by the attachments I had to certain places in Japan. Having been through them all now it seems like I have a uniform fascination for anything involving bridges, religious architecture, dramatic skies or snow!
