Despite the frigid temperatures, there were lots of brave souls on the sledding hill today. This young lady was having a little trouble keeping her sled on a straight course …or, that’s just the way she liked it.
The hill was running extremely fast. Everyone was zooming past me like a flash. Thankfully, nobody had any accidents. There was a big grin on every rider’s face (even if you couldn’t see it behind the wildly blowing hair).
This is the best local sledding hill in the area. It is located on Cemetery Street in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, USA.
This photo was taken hand-held on January 23rd, 2011, with a Canon EOS 10D camera body. I was shooting through a Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L zoom lens, zoomed to 140mm. The shutter speed was 1/180th of a second at f/9.5. The camera’s ISO was set to 100.
