Harrison Wright Falls is located just below the point called “Waters Meet” in Ricketts Glen State Park. The water was flowing briskly because there had been a lot of rain the week before this hike.
This image was captured in Ricketts Glen State Park, in the north eastern region of Pennsylvania, USA. This scene can be found a fairly short distance from the parking area on State Route RT 118 (near the village of Red Rock).
This photograph was captured on Monday, October 11th, 2010, on a meet & shoot event with members of the “Welcome Pennsylvania” RedBubble group. It was taken with a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L lens on a Canon EOS 10D DSLR body. The aperture was set to f/19, shutter speed was .7 seconds at the 40mm focal length. The camera’s ISO setting was 100.
I have written a RedBubble Journal that explains exactly how I photograph waterfalls, titled “Tips for Waterfall Photos”.
Ricketts Glen State Park is located at the junction of RT-118 and RT 487 in Fairmount Township, Pennsylvania, USA. The nearest town is Red Rock, PA, about half way between Williamsport and Wilkes Barre, PA.
