A single purple azalea blossom, photographed from the closest distance possible, about six inches away.
This 1:1 macro photo was captured on May 14th, 2010, with a Canon EOS 10D using a Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro prime lens. The shutter speed was 1/20th sec. at f/2.8. The camera’s ISO was set to 100. A Manfrotto tripod was used with a Manfrotto 222 “pistol grip” head.
