Hello, My name is Gene. I live in the Susquehanna river valley (West Branch), in the mountains of north central Pennsylvania. I strive to produce photographic images that are simply “true” to the subject, usually with minimal post processing. If something is beautiful or interesting enough to deserve a viewer’s attention, it justifies being captured just as it is …or as close to reality as possible.

It does have that alien/other-worldly vibe to it… cool Gene!

  • Thanks, Aaron! It was a very dark moment on an overcast & windy day, so I opened the lens all the way and raised the ISO to see if I could catch what I was seeing in the viewfinder. It just looked so “different” to me.

    Kindest regards,

    Gene

Alien it is… has a Muppet-y look to it. Such a grand color, & as you say, a True Macro! Well done, Gene.

  • Thanks a bunch, Sheila! I never had a flower “stare me down” before. It was definitely a different thing to see.

    All my best wishes,

    Gene

Well done as always, Gene. I love your macro work.. always happy when I see you share it xox

  • I love it when I look through the viewfinder and see something that I wasn’t expecting. A pair of goggled eyes in an azalea’s tiny universe was definitely unexpected.

    Kindest wishes,

    Gene

I like your title…. does look a bit like an alien!! Ü such crisp view of it!

  • Thank you very kindly, Jan! I was carefully focusing when I noticed the tiny “alien” looking right back at me! This was taken just as a big gray storm cloud drifted overhead, blocking out almost all of the light.

    Best wishes,

    Gene
