Presented here is a photograph of an etching of praying hands on polished granite. The “cloud-like” splotches above the hands are actual reflections of clouds in the sky at the time. This image was captured with a “One Touch” telephoto lens that was zoomed while the shutter was open. No effects were applied in post processing. The image is “straight from the camera”, except for minor cropping and re-sizing.
This photo was taken with a Canon EOS 10D using a Canon EF 35-350mm f/3.5-5.6L zoom lens. The focal length was changed from 48mm to 350mm during the exposure. The shutter speed was 1/2 sec. at f/22. The camera’s ISO was set to 400. No Flash. A heavy duty Manfrotto tripod was used with a Manfrotto 222 ball head.
