We still treasure all of the antique Christmas ornaments that my wife and I enjoyed as a small children. Both of our families had switched to aluminum Christmas trees (with satin balls) when we were teenagers. We both preferred the beautiful hand-cut trees that we remembered from when we were just small children.
A real Christmas tree has always been an essential part of our family’s Holiday home. We decorate it with the original ornaments that we fell in love with as little kids. Our children have never known anything except “the real thing” at Christmastime.
This macro photo was captured with a Canon EOS 10D using a Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro prime lens. The shutter speed was 0.5 sec at f/2.8. The camera’s ISO was set to 100. A Manfrotto tripod was used with a remote shutter release.
