You are viewing the “Little” branch of Muncy Creek, just outside of Lairdsville, Pennsylvania. It was getting very late and darkness was approaching quickly. Our season’s first big snowstorm was performing its special visual magic with the dwindling light.
This view was captured from the far side of the historic Lairdsville Covered Bridge, looking upstream, toward the village on State Route 118.
The image was taken with a Canon EOS 10D camera through a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L lens, zoomed to the 24mm focal length. The exposure was 1/125th second @ f/4 (to capture the snowflakes). A #80 cooling filter was used. The camera’s ISO was set to 100. A manfrotto tripod was used with a remote shutter release cable.
