This image was captured with a push-pull zoom lens effect. What you see was not created in post processing.
This is a single shot, using a long exposure while zooming before the shutter closed. The effect you see is “straight from the camera”, no post processing effects were used to create the effect.
The photo was taken with a Canon EOS 10D, through a Canon EF 35-350mm f/3.5-5.6L Zoom Telephoto lens. The shutter speed was 1/2 sec. @ f/27. The zoom was adjusted from 65mm to 350mm while the shutter was open. A remote shutter release and a Manfrotto tripod was used with a Manfrotto “pistol-grip” head.
