A gorgeous orange daylily in full bloom.
The photo was taken on July 7th, along a dirt road near Mill Creek in Mountoursville, Pennsylvania. It was captured with a Canon EOS 10D camera through a Canon EF 50mm f/2.5 Macro prime lens, 1/20 sec @ f/5.6 with no flash. The camera’s ISO was set to 100. A Manfrotto tripod was used. The image is untouched, “straight from the camera”. The RAW image was converted to JPEG in PhotoShop CS2.

Hello, My name is Gene. I live in the Susquehanna river valley (West Branch), in the mountains of north central Pennsylvania. I strive to produce photographic images that are simply “true” to the subject, usually with minimal post processing. If something is beautiful or interesting enough to deserve a viewer’s attention, it justifies being captured just as it is …or as close to reality as possible.
