A flotilla of white geese following the gander across the lake. The purple loosestrife (lythrum salicaria) wildflowers were reflecting off of the water from the far shore. The reflections gave this scene a special “look” to me.
This lake is located in Indian Park, a muncipal facility, in the town of Montoursville, Pennsylvania, USA.
This photo was taken with a Canon EOS 10D through a Canon EF 35-350mm f/3.5-5.6L lens, zoomed to 60mm. Shutter speed was 1/20th sec. @ f/11. The ISO was set to 100. A Manfrotto tripod was used with a remote shutter release.

Hello, My name is Gene. I live in the Susquehanna river valley (West Branch), in the mountains of north central Pennsylvania. I strive to produce photographic images that are simply “true” to the subject, usually with minimal post processing. If something is beautiful or interesting enough to deserve a viewer’s attention, it justifies being captured just as it is …or as close to reality as possible.

Very nice composition. I love the purple in the corner and the line of ducks. Nice job.
Thanks a lot! Those are the same things that caught my eye, too.
