On a hike through Watkins Glen gorge, the glowing stream of sunlight commanded my attention. This photo was taken in the heavily wooded area, above the gorge, near the highest point in the park. Watkins Glen State Park is located at the southern tip of Seneca Lake in upstate New York.
This photo was shot handheld on August 3rd with a Canon EOS 10D using a Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L USM zoom lens at the widest focal length of 70mm. The shutter speed was 1/125th sec. @ f/8 and the ISO was set to 400. The image is “straight from the camera”.
