This innocent park bench had been hijacked by a ruthless horde of tulips. I was told that the bench had been released by its captors before the onset of fall, but is currently living in fear of the approaching spring season.
The image was captured in Brandon Park (City Park), in the heart of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, USA on April 26th, 2008.
This photo was captured with a Canon EOS 10D DSLR / EF 35-135mm USM lens at 35mm focal length, f/5.6 at 1/500 sec.

Hello, My name is Gene. I live in the Susquehanna river valley (West Branch), in the mountains of north central Pennsylvania. I strive to produce photographic images that are simply “true” to the subject, usually with minimal post processing. If something is beautiful or interesting enough to deserve a viewer’s attention, it justifies being captured just as it is …or as close to reality as possible.

This is excellent. I like the angle. There is a group for benches too.
Thanks, I did not see the “benches” group. I’ll check that one out right away.

What a beautiful scene. Lovely!
When I first saw this bench with the flowers growing right up through the seat, it just blew me away. I hope I can catch an even more unusual vision at the same place this spring. who knows, maybe the tulips will completely engulf the entire bench this year! lol
Thanks,
