What a wonderful place to get my head back on straight. This is Rose Valley Lake in north central Pennsylvania, USA, not far from the town of Trout Run. This photo was taken during a light rain, at the peak of fall’s natural color display.
The photograph was taken on November 4th, 2007 from the bridge on Lake Road, at the northern end of the lake. This spot is about 100 yards from the North Boat Launch area.
This scene was captured at sunset with a Canon EOS 10D with a Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L telephoto zoom lens @ 200mm. The shutter speed was 1/20th sec at f/13. The camera’s ISO was set to 400. A Manfrotto tripod was used with a remote shutter release.
