Like a pair of white tennis shoes at a black tie event…
All of the other guests are dressed in their most colorful evening finery.
This site has interested me for years as I drive past. Every fall, the large birch tree looses its leaves earlier than the other trees in the forest at the edge of the field. I have returned to photograph this same image many times over the years, waiting for just the right weather conditions and light.
This is the farming community of Rose Valley in north central Pennsylvania, USA. The image was captured from Rose Valley Road, near the junction with Trout Run Mountain Road, 5 miles east of the town of Trout Run.
This photo was taken on October 23rd from about 300 yards from the tree line. It was shot with a Canon EOS 10D using a Canon EF 35-350mm f/3.5-5.6L zoom lens set to 120mm. The shutter speed was 1/20th sec. and the aperture was f/6.7. The camera’s ISO was set to 400
