I Like Big butts...
Sorry, I just couldn’t get that phrase out of my mind while I was photographing my huge old Jumbo acoustic guitar! I know, I should be ashamed of myself… (but I’m not.)
This is a “Jumbo” guitar from the very early 1970’s. It has outrageously deep, ultra rich bass tones and enough volume to chase skinny little electric axes right out of the room!
It is in perfect condition, because I treat it like a baby, but I love the incredible sound that it produces! If humans have to kill trees, this is the ONLY legitimate justification for it! LOL
I know… I’m sick, and I need help!
This photo was taken with a Canon EOS 10D with a Canon EF 24mm f/2.8 wide-angle prime lens. The shutter speed was 1/10th sec at f/8. The camera’s ISO was set to 100.

Falling over, laughing, giggling, refusing to keep going.. had to stop…. Look MR Gene lol…. I have a Jumbo Body 12 string Takamine and I never, ever said I like big butts… Only You! hahaha
Gene Walls replied 23 days ago
No better medicine on earth than a good laugh… right?
I’m thrilled that you like this submission!
I have noticed a couple of shots you posted of your Takamine 12 stringer, it’s a real beauty! I’ve been very impressed by their instruments, excellent workmanship.
Well, I must be feeling a little better. Time to go back to my much more “reserved” self.
Best wishes,
Gene

Mmn very found of big butts especially if this is a Kiso Suzuki, but I suspect its a Gibson.
Gene Walls replied 17 days ago
Thank you! Actually, this is an Estrada Model 8200. You have a very sharp eye! I believe that the Estrada brand was manufactured by Suzuki in the late 60’s and early 70’s. It was MIJ, but I could not find the exact date that it was made. It is obviously a “knock-off” of the Gibson J-200, but it has a “Hummingbird” pick plate. It was the top-of-the-line Estrada model. I have never seen another one like it.
My best,
Gene
