Matrix On Green
Nature’s eight-legged artist had been very busy creating this abstract pattern for all art lovers to enjoy.
This closeup image was taken with a Canon EOS 10D through a Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro prime lens. The shutter speed was 1/3rd sec at f/8, no flash. The camera’s ISO was set to 400. A Manfrotto tripod was used with a remote shutter release.
Your comments are always welcome! Constructive criticism is appreciated.

Where’s Boris? ;-) Beautiful with the shiny glints and impossibly gorgeous green. Terrific work my friend xo
Gene Walls replied
Boris packed his bags and has left for the season. He left this little reminder behind. Thanks for your very kind assessment!
Best wishes,
Gene

Harry the spider’s been a play again. Marvellous capture against the green. Don.
Gene Walls replied
Thanks so much, Don! The spider has departed and the web will be gone very soon too. I need to trim the evergreen hedges (where the web is located) before autumn ends. I cut the hedges back each fall so I can get better views of snow falling outside my living room window. I know it’s crazy, but I love snow.

Great capture – it took me 20 minutes the other day to try and get something like this – I will obviously have to get the tripod out. The wind was against me though.
Gene Walls replied
Thanks, Rose! Yea, a tripod is really required for this type of shot, unless you’re as steady as a rock. The wind was also a problem with this photo, too. It’s not quite as sharp as I would have liked, because of the breeze that was blowing at the time.
Good luck capturing the shot you’re trying to get!
Best wishes,
Gene
