Brand New Life

I know, “it’s just a leaf”... but in my mind, this is an amazing example of the new life that is born in the spring.

This macro photo was captured with a Canon EOS 10D using a Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro prime lens. The shutter speed was 1/60th sec at f/4. The camera’s ISO was set to 400. A Canon MR-14 Macro Ring Lite flash was mounted on the lens and used in Auto Mode #3. A Manfrotto tripod was used with a remote shutter release.
