I “snapped” this image on approach to the Congoola in Havanna Bay, Vanuatu a few months ago. I always end up taking a sail on Congoola when I go to the main island of Vanuatu, Efate. And in the process I make hundreds of images of what is essentially a very plain land and seascape, but one that draws me to return. I have recently been studying Ansel Adams again and decided to process this image in the same style for which he is famous for shooting Yosemite.
