Sometimes when I am all alone
Quietly walking in the forest
Or along the water’s shore
Or on a mountain path
A feeling of oneness overcomes me.
So much so that I can
Taste the music of trees swaying,
Or hear the stars twinkling
Or feel the universe calling.
For less than a second,
Perhaps even less briefly,
Then and only then I feel truly
In the moment.
