"A Realisation"
This came to me one cold, windy night. I couldn’t sleep so I began to write. After much contemplation, this piece, was born.

my ultimate peace is absolute
Lamenting on what could have
and should have been
makes no sense to me anymore
I have realised the importance of calm
Minute details of petty annoyances,
no longer take centre stage in my life
The world does not revolve around me,
and that is just fine
I would be mortified to learn that,
my whole being on earth was to be “perfect”
I know I have my flaws
and I embrace every single one
I know I am here, to live my life
the best way I know how
If in this journey I fall,
I will certainly get up again and again
Hoping, one day to evolve
into someone who represents and embodies
“Peace and Harmony”
