While hiking along one of the main red dirt roads within the Valley of Fire State Park, we encountered this “relatively speaking” small arch sitting at the top of one of the rock formations. Capturing it directly from the road was a challenge due to its height. I had to use some of my old martial arts tricks and contort and stretch my body in funny shapes to climb up to a reasonable height and position myself in a very precarious spot to capture the opening with a relatively acceptable composition. Climbing down was equally hazardous and lots of fun (if you know what I mean). Hope you like it.
