I promised that I would start publishing some of MY pictures of my recent trip to the Grand Canyon and surroundings. However, before I do that, I thought I would publish a photo taken by my buddy Dave who joins me on all of these crazy ass long and sometimes almost impossible trips that only someone like me can dream of and execute (with his help of course; and yes he is as crazy as I am with no sleep, little food, lots of coffee, a million stops along the way, and a gazillion photos later; anybody been there before?)!!!!

The reason I decided to showcase HIS picture is because, for all of you who have never been to that part of the planet, we wanted to show a sense of scale of what we are looking at for the entire series (soon to come to a RB screen near you).

Your mission, should you wish to accept it, is to find me in the picture. And yes, I AM there!!! I had to walk for about 15 minutes away from Dave’s camera (with an 18 mm wide angle lens) in order to include the entire cliff and a bit of the sky in the frame.

Shot in the general area of Marble Canyon & Vermillion Cliffs southwest of Page, Arizona.

Since joining RB I’ve greatly enjoyed being part of a lovely community of wonderful people. I’ve also made some new friends that I hope to meet one day in person. I have several passions/hobbies/professions (music, photography, martial arts & yes environmental engineering to name a few)! I am very blessed being able to work in all of these. Please feel free to visit & provide honest opinion on my photos as I am still learning (a day that goes by without learning anything is a wasted day).

Great capture! But i can’t see you. My full size blow up will not focus in, it stays blurry. I guess it is my old computer.

  • Thank you David. Glad you like the picture. I am the little blue speck of nothing at the bottom left of the mound wearing a blue jeans and a purple T-shirt. Sorry about your computer!
