Taken inside one of the watch towers along the Great Wall at Mutianyu. In constructing the watch towers and signal towers, communications between army units and visibility were critical issues, therefore placement of openings inside these towers were of utmost importance. Besdies, it was a nice place to cool down after climbing those million and one steps in the pounding sun with over 30 lbs of camera equipment and a heavy tripod on our backs! Did I say there were no hot dog stands along the way???

Since joining RB I’ve greatly enjoyed being part of a lovely community of wonderful people. I’ve also made some new friends that I hope to meet one day in person. I have several passions/hobbies/professions (music, photography, martial arts & yes environmental engineering to name a few)! I am very blessed being able to work in all of these. Please feel free to visit & provide honest opinion on my photos as I am still learning (a day that goes by without learning anything is a wasted day).

no matter how puzzling here i must figure out what is what:) otherwise i must thrust my sword with my total honesty. then even rb’s system have to be under my sword. no way let the dark evil going on and on and on.

  • The sword is only an instrument in the hands of the Master. Only the master knows how to be honest with which way to thrust the sword! And from the dark and evil spirits always comes the truth into the light!

thank you for your wisedom hany. ooh the Master..i thought of that too… how about individuals under the master then. do they just let it. or they also use the master for the good, might be terribly for the bad:( a lot…

  • A wise Master knows which of his followers deserve to hold a sword. If the Master does not have that wisdom, then evil will be drawn to battle. It is then up to the goodness in our spirit to recognize the signs and refuse the challenge! Then good will always flourish and evil will be defeated.

This is a great capture, the lighting is wonderful..to achieve this photo..wowsers…i love the mirrors of arches…each one within the next..a labrynth if you will…just fabulous…love the details in the brick, a georgeous photo!!!!

  • Thanks Brenda. You would really have to be there to truly take it all in. It is very difficult to describe in a simple photo like mine. No photos I think will do this place any justice. The stories behind this place are endless; and mine is just one simplified story that does not even come close to what the reality and the majesty of this place is. Thanks Brenda for your feedback – again and again and again.
