This is another section of the Great Wall at Mutianyu, situated north of Beijing about 3 hours away. Only few sections have recieved some restoration in recent history; but most sections have not seen any restoration in hundreds of years. This section is definitely not the most challenging, but definitely not that easy to climb either! Majestic and breathtaking in every aspect.

Since joining RB I’ve greatly enjoyed being part of a lovely community of wonderful people. I’ve also made some new friends that I hope to meet one day in person. I have several passions/hobbies/professions (music, photography, martial arts & yes environmental engineering to name a few)! I am very blessed being able to work in all of these. Please feel free to visit & provide honest opinion on my photos as I am still learning (a day that goes by without learning anything is a wasted day).

This is incredible, i love the scenery as well, as the great wall! Lovely angle of photography, the blue sky and clouds at the top are perfectly placed, and the colorful flowers and bushes along side really set off the color of the great wall and passage way…just a lovely photo!!!

  • Thank You Brenda – glad you approve of this shot. The weather was doing something strange that day – one minute very strong lighting, brutal sun and a very bla sky; the next minute (literally) lots of clouds and haze. And the tress did not have lots of colour to them either even though it was the first week of October. Taking pictures at the Great Wall that day was a brutal experience and it really tested my patience. But glad you like this one. Thanks Brenda.
