This structure is similar to what we would call the “Guard House”. The Forbidden Garden has four of these elaborate structures, one on each corner. This specific one is situated on the northeast corner (the northwest guard house is in the distance). The reflection of the guard house is shown in the moat surrounding the entire Forbidden City.

Since joining RB I’ve greatly enjoyed being part of a lovely community of wonderful people. I’ve also made some new friends that I hope to meet one day in person. I have several passions/hobbies/professions (music, photography, martial arts & yes environmental engineering to name a few)! I am very blessed being able to work in all of these.
