We launched leggings! Step into a world of individuality.

Another typical entrance way to homes with open doors in the Hutongs of Beijing (I have briefly described the Hutongs in my “Sunset Over The Hutongs” image).

This image was taken from a smaller Hutong located beside Houhai Park in the northwestern part of Beijing and a few relatively large blocks away from the northern entrance to the Forbidden City.

This is the second of three “inviting” images that I like!

Since joining RB I’ve greatly enjoyed being part of a lovely community of wonderful people. I’ve also made some new friends that I hope to meet one day in person. I have several passions/hobbies/professions (music, photography, martial arts & yes environmental engineering to name a few)! I am very blessed being able to work in all of these. Please feel free to visit & provide honest opinion on my photos as I am still learning (a day that goes by without learning anything is a wasted day).

Interesting shot,…tells the way of life for these people,…

  • Thanks John. Yes – in many ways, walking along these places was a combination of a wonderful experience but also a humbling one, perhaps even sad in many ways. We take what we have here for granted and we forget how millions of people around the world live.

Interesting capture. Lack of personal space is what a lot of other people have to tolerate and I admire how resilient these people are.

  • Thank you so much for your kind comment. Yes these people are very resiliant and I admire the way they live and tolerate their lack of space and lack of living perhaps. In many ways it makes us appreciate what we have. Thank you for viewing.

I love photos like this. Awesome capture. Love the processing. It’s perfect! What a GREAT find! :)

  • Thank you Diana; really appreciate the wonderful feedback and the great comment. I think I ended up shooting quite a few of these “forgotten” alleyways and doors and homes during my China trip. Few are posted here. Thank you for the visit. Really appreciated.

wonderful image, many. i’ve noticed covered containers in a couple of shots. any ideas?

  • Thank you Victoria; really appreciate your dropping by and perusing my images. Do be honest with you, I have wondered so myself. But due to language barrier, there was no one to ask in these types of neighbourhoods. You peaked my curiosity now; I have a Chinese friend of mine I will ask and I will report back with the answer (if I find one). Many thanks again. Hany
