Another majestic view of the Great Wall of China at the Mutianyu Section; one of the older and least restored sections of the Wall about 3 hours north of Beijing.

Since joining RB I’ve greatly enjoyed being part of a lovely community of wonderful people. I’ve also made some new friends that I hope to meet one day in person. I have several passions/hobbies/professions (music, photography, martial arts & yes environmental engineering to name a few)! I am very blessed being able to work in all of these. Please feel free to visit & provide honest opinion on my photos as I am still learning (a day that goes by without learning anything is a wasted day).

Fantastic work Hany..it would be a sight to behold mate.

  • Many, many thanks Wazza. The Great Wall and my entire trip to Beijing hold a special place in my memory and in my heart – it is up there along with my trip to the Grand Canyon. Amazing place to visit and admire. Thank you my friend for your continued support and your wonderful comments.

Great Shot, looks a long way to the top.

  • Thank you Jason; the entire length of this one section is about 2 and a quarter kilometers meters (or about a mile and a half) with 22 watch towers…. it is not that long, but very steep in many sections to climb… it took about 8 hours to walk about 3/4 the distance and back! And yes… it does feel like a long walk to the top. Thank you for visitng.

Beautiful. Love how you have the wall leading you into the photo! Excellent composition

  • Thank you Lucinda; again and again. Very kind of you to visit my China images. It has been a while since I visited those images, and you sure bring back some good memories, with lots of painful walking and hiking through the mountain (LOL), but very memorable. Many thanks for the favorite. Much appreciated Lucinda. Hany
