Since I posted this image the first time a few weeks back, it has been bugging me!!! There was something about the “processing” that just did not do it for me (not to say that the framing and the composition are perfect either, but if you know the trouble I went through to take this image, under the circumstances at the time, you would understand). Nevertheless, I decided to re-process the original RAW/CR2 image file with minor adjustments to Luminosity, Color Temperature, Vibrance, Saturation, Selective Color Channel Balance, added a 35% Sepia effect to tone down the early morning harsh color cast, and finally applied a tighter crop to eliminate some of the peripheral distracting elements. And Voila!!!

I think I like this version much better than the first. I hope you like it too.

Since joining RB I’ve greatly enjoyed being part of a lovely community of wonderful people. I’ve also made some new friends that I hope to meet one day in person. I have several passions/hobbies/professions (music, photography, martial arts & yes environmental engineering to name a few)! I am very blessed being able to work in all of these. Please feel free to visit & provide honest opinion on my photos as I am still learning (a day that goes by without learning anything is a wasted day).

Only the brave would try a for a shot like this Hany; taking you life in your own hands I see Things haven’t changed in twenty-five years, my first introduction to a traffic circle…..Jules

  • Hi Jules; many thanks for the lovely comment; and my sincere apologies for the late response. I was away for a while and just got back. You make me laugh; all my friends know that I am one who does really stupid things to get that photo; and standing right in the middle of the traffic on the Champs-Elysees was really one of those moments! LOL. Luckily, I survived! Thank you so much Jules, and my apologies again. Hany

Hany……………..I thought I recognised the image……………….when will you stop struggling for perfection……………….I have not got a clue what you are talking about or who you are talking to…………………..does one have to strip off to photograph in the raw……………..which is why you are a proper photographer and I am just messing around…………………the days of taking my clothes off are long past………………..glad you still do it though…………………..haha………………………I am feeling a bit under the weather today, it is cold and miserable and I have not been out as I still have no car and I am not sleeping well ……………….I stopped drinking coffee at the start of the week too………………….more to cut out dairy products than coffee but I miss my daily hit…………………back to the image …………………..maybe that arch in the middle is out of place………………..what do you think…………………..might be better just with the trees………………….from your ‘parvenu’ friend………………………….Joyce………………………….

  • Hi Joyce; thanks for the funny comment; I will send you a bubble mail soon! Hany

Prince John was not the nicest person in the world, maybe you should have called yourself Robin Hood or Friar Tuck!
