Another in my series of smoke photography. Here I used blue plastic paper to add colors :D
This is an image purely made of smoke. I used incense stick to produce smoke flow and Elinchrom Dlite RX2 studio light to illuminate smoke against dark background in a darkroom created at home. While it raised, I followed the patterns created during the combustion process.
I used various other means in order to originate shapes and patterns purely by smoke.
These images later emphasized and brought to a more enhanced visual state by post processing in photoshop using different tools. I improved black & contrast using brush tool in the images.
To achieve details and the sharpness precisely and clearly, during the formation and shooting process, I used pen / pencil for prefocusing at the location & turning on to manual focusing mode, to achieve the visual impact and avoid blurred and fuzzy results.
I hope you enjoy the series.
