26.11 - A day in the shadows of terror

Hotel Taj, Hotel Trident and Nariman house – more or less familiar names across the world, until terror hit Mumbai on 26.11

They don’t care language, nation or what your identity is. Unfortunately, it has spread over the world in recent times but it’s origin has never been thought to be destroyed totally, yet. Sooner or later the world will have to think of it.

It claimed 151 lives till 1830 Hrs. on 28.11.2008 in Mumbai and Hotel Trident was CLEARED, fighting for Hotel Taj and Nariman House, the Jewish residential was still on.

It’s not just Mumbai or India today, it might hit any civilized world tomorrow. I am presenting a photograph taken today to pay a tribute to all who lost their life with a message, although the PEACE is the most valuable asset to all of human beings, until the roots of terror are not destroyed WAR AGAINST TERROR will never end. We are on the same board named planet Earth and we cannot live with terror for a long time.

Please join hands against the fight to make a safe and peaceful world, for our coming generations. One day we’ll have to answer them.

All the proceedings from the sale will go to the victims of 26.11

  • Prasad replied

TERROR has raised a serious question on existance of humanity in recent times. At least for last millenium it has kept its form changing. If WE have survived, it’s because of FAITH. One day we’ll bring PEACE to mankind.

Prasad, I am truly sorry to hear of this! It has been in the news….and it is another horrible act of senseless violence!! How do you get rid of “terrorism”...? It is a hard thing to deal with, and it is all over the world. We here expect it all the time. I pray it can be stopped!! Thank you for posting this!!!

  • Prasad replied

WE don’t have the answer for the most serious question, Elaine. Probably “time” is the only answer today. Thanks for your support in this time my friend.

Thank you for sharing this Prasad, I’ve been a bit out of the loop as to how bad it was. As long as these people have so little regard for life, they’re going to be hard to stop!

You were the first person I thought of when this first came to light – silly I know, but I have little contact with anyone from India. And yes, it could have been anywhere. What is the point of their terror? They wage these battles and kill people, but they cannot win – only remind us of their presence, in the most horrific way. You wonder how that is an achievement…

  • Prasad replied

I just have taken a small step here, Shallay. But we all can go a big distance with every step we take. Thanks for thought provocative support friend.

Thank you for posting this Prasad, along with your words. Violence only begets violence. Compassion and Love must triumph. My heart, blessings, thoughts, compassion goes out to the victims of this senseless tragedy in Mumbai, as well as all others that are occurring on smaller and larger scales as I type. In love, light, peace, compassion … for and with all, Namaste.

  • Prasad replied

We are unfortunate beings, Emily. Some of people around us still believe compassion, love, peace are those feelings can be understood on the tip of a weapon. But still life holds the patience, in the light of hope , believing – Tomorrow will be better than today.

Thanks for your kind support friend.

Hi Prasad – thanks for posting this – I can not stop thinking about this – I was just in Mumbai I have friends there and I can not believe it - I ate many times at Leopold Cafe, was in the Taj, but for me the photos from the train station where poor people sleeping waiting for the next train were mowed down is beyond barbaric - I dont think anyone can try to understand how a human can do this to another - what purpose – what end - it is so tragic for everyone involved and for all the brave souls who tried to help each other may their god treat them well—thank you – Dave

  • Prasad replied

Thanks for sharing David. Only learning is life is valuable and cannot be returned once lost.
