This is gorgeous…may I ask …do they really grow cranberries in a field? Sounds dumb maybe but cranberries here only grow in the and on the bogs…making it difficult to gather them when ripe, as the cranberry bogs turn the muck underneath to quicksand! The areas dense with cranberries are treacherous here.
PrairieRose replied
Hi Pamela,
I love your comment! Yes, these cranberry fields are man made…....In October, the field is flooded with water and the berries rise to the top of the water and are then harvested…......it’s a really cool process and the fields look so much better in the Fall filled with water….............
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave your beautiful comment…...........
