American Kisaeng - Bubblegum by

Kisaeng refers to the female Korean Entertainers of the Joseon dynasty.
I have always been interested in the power of hair as a symbol of femininity power and sexual oppression. The American Kisaeng gracefully bears the burden of femininity, her elegance is always effortless.

I am a drawing and digital artist. A patron of my husband and a mother to two lovely boys. I have been making art consistently since 1990. My work has been shown in Philadelphia, Texas, Virginia and Los Angeles and I currently live and work in North Texas. My work is intuitive, my drawings are subconscious renderings, my prints are focused on social critique and my photographs reflect my observations of nature.
