I completed this piece in one sitting and painted as quickly as I could. I really wanted to see how the new Sennelier paints I have been playing with react in wetter conditions than I normally use. The effect of this is a considerably looser painting than much of my work with many interesting watercolor effects such as backruns, blooms, and granulation melded into the composition. The original is 12″×16″ and is composed entirely of Sennelier watercolor pan paint on Sennelier 140# cold-pressed watercolor paper. The slight tooth of this paper really aided in coaxing out some of the granulation characteristics of the paint.
