This is a watercolor painting of another flower from the Point Defiance Dahlia and Rose Garden in Tacoma, Washington. I think it is a dahlia but I am not sure as there are many other types of flowers there as well. The original is 13.5″×10″ in size and is painted with Rublev, Daniel Smith, and Winsor & Newton watercolor paints on Arches 140# cold-pressed paper.
You captured the delicacy of the petals very well! I also really like the contrast between the bright colors of the flower and the texture in the grey background.
Thank you very much Sandrine! I think the contrast really helps this one!
The yellow on the beautifully creamy white is stunning here Ken. Another beauty.
Thank you Ian! I wanted the yellows in the center to blend into some greens and blues on the upper right section while disappearing and giving way to only grays in the lower left. The yellows really make it pop I think!

Thank you very much! I had a good feeling about this one and had a plan in advance instead of jumping right in!
