Watercolour on Daler & Rowney 300g paper Cold Pressed Not
A wonderful painting Corinne. x
I’m so glad you like it, Irene. It wasn’t as easy as I first thought because of the poor quality of the paper which is not the one I usually work on.Many thanks for a fantastic comment

Excellent, Corinne, you can really feel his concentration!
…and I had to concentrate myself, mind you Fran, because of this special paper I’m not used to……This is a fantastic comment, thank you sooooo much and…. Passez un bon dimanche !
Very nice! The way the face is lit gives incredible life to this piece! Nicely done!
As I said, it was pretty hard to work on this specific paper because I’m not used to it with its ‘funny’ quality. Anyway, a truly wonderful comment from you (you know my admiration for your work, Ken !)
Wonderful emotion displayed here. The lighting is awesome.

and you were right ! Lol….thanks so much mon ami !
Oh! such a wonderful treatment of watercolour. Felicitations Corinne.
Ca me fait très plaisir de ta part. Merci beaucoup Béatrice
Like very much how you gave the right strength of colour to both the flesh and violin and then used the greyblue as your background colour to truly bring the subject of this painting into a bold focal point. Skillfully done Corinne.
Jim, you are always so kind with your comments… I particularly appreciate this one because it gives me your technical point of view of the painting, as it’s always difficult to choose a colour rather than another one at one point of a painting without speaking of the ‘overworking’ of some of them !Thank you for your words, thery leave me encouraged
Beautiful! I like the warm skin tones and the highlights you left.
Lora, thank you “beaucoup”. I love to hear your comments, as I admire your work so much
