La vieille 2 CV - Horsing around -
Watercolour on fine grain paper.
The French icon car, with rocking suspensions and a top speed of around 80 km/h (50 m.p.h), named after its minimal horsepower…. Used to be the cheapest car on the French market.
The first 2CV rolled off the production line in 1948 and the car sold well until 1990, when the last of 5 million left the assembly line after its design fell out of kilter with E.U. safety regulations.
Now, a collection car.
60 years this year and still working (I’ve got one !) .

All of you : thank you ! It was a treat for me to paint this car. Mine is still working fine (it was used for the 1st time in 1978 !!) I was so sorry for that one…..but i guess a mechanic would make a wonder of such a wreck. More & more people here love to get those collection cars… for fun
