This interesting plant grows on cypress and pine trees. Usually flowers from October to January, but somehow these are a little confused as they are flowering in April. The latin name is Tillandsia setacea which is in the pineapple family. The habitat is hammocks, and swamps, range is Florida and south. This image was taken at the Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary in Naples, FL with my Nikon Coolpix P80
