Anhinga in Dry Mode by

Anhinga drying itself after a swim. They have to hang their feathers out to dry as they do not have oil on their feathers to prevent them from getting wet. Taken at a small Park and lake in SW Florida.

About Rosalie Scanlon

Rosalie has been a photographer for many years. She spent a few years photographing school children and won an award for ‘Outstanding Photo’. She moved on to Nature Photography and was featured in the local newspaper to advertise a photo contest. Her work has been exhibited in many local shows, and she has been published in a calendar.
She is a graduate of NY Institute of Photography and has won ‘Best of Show’ as well as many first place ribbons

    Nice one Rosalie, very similar to our Cormorants and Shags. They too “hang” their feathers out to dry.
