I went to the Anzac Day Parade on St Kilda Rd this morning – I found parts of it quite hard and had to stop shooting a number of times because I find Anzac Day in general to be very upsetting. My maternal grandfather was POW in Austria during WWII and it affected him greatly to the extent he never spoke to the family about it.
I guess the hardest part for me was the times where only descendents were left or no-one was left to walk behind the regimental flags.
So here are the photos I managed to get… LEST WE FORGET

Those are very touching photos. We must not ever forget, otherwise we will be doomed to repeat history.
