Drug Movies
Well this is completely fucking weird and random and doesn’t make any sense. And it was taken exactly a year ago… and edited tonight. I have better photos from recent shoots to edit. But the last 24 hours I’ve been in a bizarre and insane head space.. no better way to take it out then to say I feel like this photo. It reminds me of David Lynch and drug movies (fear and loathing in las vegas). I will upload more stuff from my recent shoots. But I had to upload this.

like the tones and true, I did turned it to look how it was otherway around.
You’re right.. upside down is right this time :)
Jessica Walker replied
thanks ;)
Plus if I hadn’t rotated it, my face would look fat from that angle.. lol.
I shot it with the camera pointing up at me. Not a flattering angle for faces.

kinda reminds me of clockwork orange, the whole brain wash glasses thing.
Jessica Walker replied
yes I just now thought of that too… also one of my most favorite, cherished movies. ;)

Yeah, I totally got the Clockwork Orange vibe right away, with a little Requiem for a Dream thrown in.

2 of my favorite movies… wow some people here have good taste in movies I’m finding out! :D
Colleen Milburn
Wow, love it, Jessica!!! LOVE David Lynch, and as Tama said, with a little bit of ‘Requiem for a Dream’ (one of the most amazing films I’ve ever seen but could never watch again as I was just so anxious the whole way through!).
Jessica Walker replied
Thank you Colleen. :)
I just watched the Twin Peaks movie for the first time.. what a mind fuck….
lol. Requiem is also one of my favorite films. I’ve probably seen it a handful of times. I know the first time somebody sees it it is bothersome. But I’ve watched it enough times it no longer bothers me as much. It’s an important film though for sure. I don’t know of any others that so strongly portray the disgusting and life threatening aspects to drug addiction.

Know the ‘head space’ you’re talking about. I’m not sure why, but this shot reminds me a little of “Pan’s Labyrinth”, or maybe I’m thinking about Mirrormask. Either way, a very cool shot.
