holding me down
in order to survive
i must be able to move around
the pressure of insecurity
thousands of commitment questions
made it seem easy
after all she was dead weight
didn’t look all that great
clinging to me like velcro
was i wrong to let her go
she was sweet
playing the game for keeps
said i was afraid to be loved
how could i escape?
was all i was thinking of
we all know dead weight is hard to move
she definitely wasn’t budging
so in the end
i did absolutely nothing
