when drifting in the memories of time
illusions fly right by laughing, and shattered
like peices of glass lying on the ground
one wrong step pain will be found
seeping out slowly
like a deafening scream
in the middle of a peaceful dream
awakening the inner you
to visions unreal appearing true
like love, sucess, friends, and more
which seem to wander through a door
of discontent, and misery
life’s secret little enemies lurking
forever lingering, and working
for the destruction of your soul
leaving you to peice together reality
like your survival is a mere formality
where demons waiting will try to surface
under a veil of happiness, or sadness
pulling, and grabbing at your mind
peices falling one by one
shattered illusions
drifting
shifting
through the memories of time
weighing heavily on your mind
until you open up your eyes
realizing you’re no longer blind
amazing grace
how sweet the sound
i once was lost
but now i’m found
was blind, but now i see
