i wake up in the morning
saying good morning god
thank you for everything
then listen to the birds sing
send out a few good mornings to all my friends
then the day begins
stretch the body
it’s getting old, and tight
thank you god for the rest last night
thinking about having some fun
seeing my son
listening to his mama talk smack
then they’ll send me on my way right back
to this crazy world i survive in
i’ll wonder when we’ll see each other again
catching up to them is like trying to catch Micheal Jordan
trying to stay out of trouble
but it’s almost summer
beautiful women everywhere, and i’m ready for one
wanna kiss under the summer sun
listen to sweet music
grab a fishing rod, and some beer
listen to my friends stories
you can’t believe what i hear
poetry slams, open mike rapping
hmmm lets just keep life happening
sending sweet love to those who need it
this is my eye opener for today
