I love this Passion!!!
Not only you has devoided it from the sual tragic barock imaginery.. but have decided that it is important to give it a “interior child” look. So the figures have the component of navietée but with a perfect abstraction of the elemental.. making it even more real than other representations. And what I love the most.. though some one would may think that it is a little demagogic is the clear differentiated “races” that compose the tryad. For me it has a symbolism … it is not Jesus who is there, not even the thieves… WE ARE THE CRUCIFIXED.. and we know it. And though it may seem, too, a little heretical… I feel that in this Passion ,the Salvation… whatever it means for the Universe.. of Reason and Love…is “mutual”. So… the witnesses of this sacrified are black… for they are totally inmmerse in the unconsciousness….
