In the dark recesses of your mind,
Where there is no chink of light
The all consuming thoughts occur
And slowly you sink deeper in.

Where the edges are only sharp
The fingers curl around your thoughts
Twisting them out of shape
In the dark recesses of your mind,
No reasoning will come
Your pain and hurt is magnified
And spirals out of control
In the dark recesses of you mind
Where all your hope is gone
There are no friends or out stretched arms
You are all alone

good imagery; i like the curling and twisting
some constructive criticism (which i know is a dodgy thing with poetry): watch the rhythm. a steady rhythm can make your ideas come across more strongly and will make the poem more effective.
